NOOSA HEADS, QLD – Leading Australian height safety specialist RISSafety has completed the design and installation of a compliant roof access and fall protection system for the Noosa Heads Ambulance Station, helping improve safety for workers required to perform maintenance and inspection tasks at height.
The project was undertaken to support safer work at height practices for contractors and maintenance personnel accessing rooftop plant and equipment at the essential healthcare facility.
RISSafety designed a tailored roof safety solution incorporating compliant access pathways, anchor systems and edge protection measures to reduce risk when undertaking work from height on the building.
With public infrastructure and healthcare facilities under increasing pressure to maintain strict workplace safety standards, properly engineered access systems are becoming critical to ensuring safe ongoing building maintenance.
“Facilities such as ambulance stations require dependable, compliant access systems that allow maintenance teams to complete rooftop works safely and efficiently,” said a RISSafety spokesperson.
“This project demonstrates the importance of integrating purpose-built height safety systems into essential infrastructure to protect workers undertaking roof access and maintenance tasks.”
The completed installation ensures the Noosa Heads Ambulance Station now has a safer and more compliant rooftop access setup aligned with Australian Standards and best-practice height safety requirements.
RISSafety continues to partner with organisations across Australia to design, manufacture, install and certify bespoke safety systems for commercial, industrial and government assets where work at height hazards exist.
The Noosa Heads Ambulance Station project adds to RISSafety’s growing portfolio of infrastructure and government projects delivered nationwide.
For organisations managing rooftop assets, ensuring compliant systems are in place for work from height activities remains a key obligation under workplace health and safety legislation.
