OTTAWA, ON, April 17, 2026 /CNW/ - The Honourable Joanne Thompson, Minister of Fisheries, will  participate in a key international mission to promote Canadian seafood in European markets, beginning April 20, 2026. While in Barcelona, the Minister will lead the Canadian delegation at Seafood Expo Global (SEG) 2026, showcasing Canada's high-quality fish and seafood products, advance trade diversification, and strengthen commercial and government partnerships across the world.

Minister Thompson will also represent Canada in Brussels, meeting with European Union counterparts to advance shared priorities on trade, conservation and sustainability.
